Meet Sam

Founding Agent

Prawn farming, smoked salmon packing and renovating Menorcan Villas in Spain, what do these rolls have to do with real estate? Nothing at all. However, they have helped Sam develop the following important attributes of his personality - honesty, hard work, punctuality, and respect. These words may be clichés, but they truly are the attributes that make Sam who he is and make him good at what he does. He learned these values from his parents and from his years of traveling to the "four corners of the globe," whilst working in some rather diverse and ecletic occupations.

As is typical with many ‘Kiwis', Sam left New Zealand in his early 20's to travel the world, expand his horizons and experience other cultures. He spent several years traveling to different countries from South America to Asia, Europe, and of course, North America. Traveling to so many varied locations taught him valuable lessons in interacting with different cultures, adapting to different situations and how to effectively communicate with people from all walks of life. These experiences have allowed Sam to develop both his professional and social skills in a way that has benefited his ability to serve his clients to the highest level.

Sam has over 25 years of experience in sales and management in the construction industry. His first "real" job at age 19 was as a sales representative for a roofing and window company. He later managed a renovation firm, and prior to real estate he sold extremely technical, custom engineered, steel homes all around the U.S. Throw in the combination of aforementioned prawn farming, smoked salmon packing and Menorcan villa renovation, and Sam truly has a broad skill set to draw from and apply to
his real estate business.

Sam has consistently been recognized by Real Trends as one of the top producing individual agents in Utah. 2022 saw further growth in Sam's business with many of his clients being referrals from what is a growing base of satisfied Buyers and Sellers. Sam was a tier one agent with Summit Sotheby's for 9 years straight before partnering with several colleagues in opening Christie's International Real Estate Park City in late 2023. With all this experience, his global travels and easy-going manner, Sam is in his "happy place" in the Real Estate industry and wants to help you to find your " happy place" when buying or selling your next home.

If Sam is not working, he likes to spend as much time as possible with his beautiful wife and trying his best to be a good role model to his three children and teaching them about the world around them. He enjoys camping, hiking, and barbequing. He also likes to get out on the rivers around Park City to frustrate himself a little while trying to coax a cunning trout or two into taking his fly. Thankfully, it happens often enough to keep him coming back for more.
